Listen to us on BBC World Service

16. June 2015

As the buzz surrounding the 800-year anniversary of the sealing of the Magna Carta continues, we were contacted by BBC World Service to see if we would provide some extracts from the spectacular soundtrack we produced for the main film at Lincoln Castle – Magna Carta: Challenging the Power of a King.

We were more than happy to contribute – you can listen to the show here.

9. June 2015

Yesterday we travelled to Lincoln to see the official opening of Lincoln Castle by Princess Anne.  A spectacular sight – hundreds of people turned out to line the castle walkways and catch a glimpse of HRH, excited groups of local school children waved flags, and even actor Colin McFarlane was present to address the crowds.

A fabulously regal day, producer Laura Harris was lucky enough to meet HRH and shake the royal hand.  ‘It was such an honour to meet and greet the princess and discuss the films we are so proud of on this very special 800-year anniversary.  The Magna Carta is such an important piece of history and we feel very privileged to have re-created the story of King John, the barons and the birth of the Great Charter for this incredible historic site.’

19. May 2015

We are in the process of recreating one of the most ambitious feats in modern medicine: the first recorded public dissection in Scotland.  We are working with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, designers Campbell & Co and AV consultant Douglas Bolton, to create a multi-projection immersive show hosted within a purpose built Anatomy Theatre.

The show will be narrated by an actor taking on the part of 18th Century Physician Archibald Pitcairn.  These are a selection of the behind-the-scene images from our shoot at Big Shed Studios in Trafford Park, Greater Manchester…

Battle of Bannockburn Centre

The Visitor Centre recently welcomed their 50,000th visitor after only being open since March this year.

The milestone visitor for the Stirling, Scotland attraction was Lynn Forney Young from Texas, who told the BBC she was visiting Scotland “to honour the connections between American and Scottish history and heritage.  Bannockburn is an important part of our tour [Lynn is the President Chair of Daughters of the American Revolution]. Our group, which represents 100 people from 33 different US states, have descendants from both sides of the battle, including direct descendants of King Robert the Bruce.”

Throughout March, the BBC are running a WhatsApp alert service that sends stories, fun facts and media straight to your phone to keep history fans up to date with the events surrounding the King’s reburial at Leicester Cathedral.
