Blists Hill

We approached the ‘blank canvas’ provided by this area as a totally immersive environment developing an experience that envelops people in the raw power of 19th century industrialisation. Multiple, large scale projections on the walls are linked together by a central ‘crucible’ projection to create an energetic combination of power and spectacle.

Watch this short, in-situ edit to get a sense of this the power and spectacle of the immersive experience.

We also produced this interactive AV which is projected onto a physical model of the Ironbridge Gorge and introduces the recreated Victorian Town of Blists Hill. It serves to highlight key geological events as well as exploring the human history of the site, indicating key industries and settlements from early coal mining to its heyday in the 19th century.
